Julia Balasch

With a background in Ecology and Conservation Science, Julia is especially passionate about biodiversity and environmental justice and is advocating for youth involvement in biodiversity politics on a national level as a delegate in the austrian biodiversity commission and chapter founder and co-coordinator of the austrian youth biodiversity network (GYBN Austria). On a regional and international level, she also was able to represent youth perspectives and demands as a delegate at CBD COP15, the IPBES youth workshop 2022 and european expert meeting 2023, the GEF 7 assembly and the IUCN Leaders Forum 2023.
